DAWSON TEMPERATURE Control Solutions has improved its operational performance with four trailers from Montracon, two of which are fitted with the Swinglift container handling system.
The Swinglift system is mounted at either end of extendible trailers and can lift containers supplied by the company between the ground and the chassis of a trailer, which means the company does not need to hire in a crane to do the same job. Chris Allen, fleet manager of Dawsonrentals subsidiary Dawson Temperature Control Solutions, said: "The performance of the
trailers, coupled with the operational benefits they bring, has easily exceeded even our most optimistic expectations."
He added: "The two Swinglift trailers and the two similarly configured skeletal trailers supplied as part of the order mean that we can collect and deliver a selection of cold stores and blast freezers to any given location without the need for, and the cost of hiring, a local crane."
Montracon has been the sole UK and Europe agent for Swinglift, which has been built and developed by New Zealand-based company Patchett Industries, since April.
