MC RENTAL, THE sister company to Volvo Trucks dealer MC Truck and Bus, has opened the doors to a new dedicated rental site in Maidstone, Kent.

The company, which started trading in 1999, also revealed that there are plans to develop further rental sites across the UK and has started searching for another site, which it hopes to open next year. Dave Hutchins, sales director of parent group MC Group, said the dedicated rental location will be much more convenient for customers. "Demand for rental has been on the increase due to its flexible nature, particularly in recent

years with the degree of economic uncertainty we have all experienced. "MC Rental began as a small subsidiary to complement MC Group, but after noticing more interest and demand for our service, we realised we could use our experience and expertise to expand the company and provide our customer with a

wider range of rental solutions," he added.

The three-acre site offers nationwide vehicle rental from 4x4 pick-ups to tractor units and from a daily agreement to long-term contract hire.

The site includes a two-bay workshop and jet wash facility. MC Rental now offers more than 1,700 mixed-brand vehicles.

"The company now deals with a broader range of businesses due to the introduction of fully comprehensive insurance on vehicles up to and including 75 tonnes," he explained.

The expansion has created new jobs in the company, including sales positions, which has increased the head count from 14 to 19 people.
