DEALERSHIPS IMPERIAL Commercials and TIM Commercial Vehicle Services are sending Isuzu Truck technicians to Japan to take part in the manufacturer's World Technical Competition.
Brian George from Imperial Commercials in Glasgow and Alan Cottingham from TIM Commercial Vehicle Services in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, will take part in a week-long competition in Tokyo to face technicians from 30 other countries. Tony Hicks, technical trainer at Isuzu Truck (UK), will lead the team as they work on the=ory and practical tests as well as simulations of vehicle problems for diagnosis, including assessment and rebuilding of units such as
engines and transmissions.
Marketing director Keith Child said it is an honour for Isuzu Truck (UK) to be invited to participate in this event. "Every year the quality and standards required to be successful get higher, as even more countries participate for this prestigious award," he said.
"We are sure that both Brian and Alan will be excellent ambassadors representing the UK dealer network."
