Elj iremen are used to rescuing cats from trees and children from railings but it cannot be often they get a call to rescue a dog stuck in a truck. This happened at Preston Dock when a Jack Russell terrier got trapped inside the chassis of a parked lorry while chasing a rabbit.
The firecrew tried to entice it out with titbits but its paws were stuck fast. Leading fireman Steven Wilson finally got a hand in and managed to free the unfortunate pooch.
The Hawk feels sure the rabbit saw the bunny side of it.
