• BRS has lost a long-term contract with Yorkshire Regional Health Authority to Ryder Distribution Services.
The contract, based at the health authority's 9,000m2 warehouse at Normanton, uses trucks to deliver to more than 140 hospitals and 150 health centres throughout Yorkshire.
About 200 suppliers deliver into the warehouse.
BRS had originally held the contract since 1986 when the warehouse opened. The contract was put out to tender when it expired this year: Ryder took over the work last month. It also has contracts with health authorities in London.
