• Southfields' 13.6m Eurocomet Ultra 92 tri-axle curtain sider has won full German TuV approval. Equipment registered in Germany must pass the tough technical TuV test before it can go into service.

The Eurocomet is based on the current British Ultra 92 model but with

a number of features tailored to the German market including BPW axles, Wabco Westinghouse brakes with ABS and modified electrics and lighting.

Southfields' local agent, Lippstadter Anhanger, has placed a stock order for 12 trailers worth more than £200,000. Earlier this year Southfields' curtainsided swap body also won full approval from Deutsche Bimdesbahn.
