• G. and K. Haulage Ltd., of Tipton, have applied to take over the licences of 0. E. Hinds (Transport) Ltd., the Birmingham-based haulage firm that closed following a strike.
If the application is granted G. and K. will also purchase eight Hinds' artics of a total unladen weight of 581 tons.
Three of these will be conditioned: "Steel, motor spares, machinery. London, Liverpool, Manchester, Hull The other five will be conditioned: "Steel, motor parts, girders and food. London, Liverpool, South Wales, Midlands area."
