Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ASPECIALITY of the 30-cwt. commercial chassis had commenced to be made by the Vulcan Motor and Engineering Co., Ltd., of Crossens, Southport, before the war, and, as a result of the experience gained with it under war conditions, a special design has now been developed, and it is intended to place it on the market so soon as the works are free from commitments to Government Departments. Early deliveries are not expected to be possible, however, but every opportunity will be sought by the manufacturers to hasten forward their motor vehicle production. At present all that is possible to announce is the bare fact that the 30-cwt. commercial chassis will take the lines of the first vehicles built to the new designand shown in the accompanying five photographs, which display a chassis, an .ambulance, and a tipping wagon, and the two sides of the engine. The motor is four-cylindered, having a bore of 90 min. and a piston stroke of 130 ram., the power being transmitted through a four-speed gearbox mounted on a sub-frame having three-point suspension to the main frame, and thence to a, icommercial-type rear axle and steel wheels shockwitii solid tyres, the front tyres being single and the rear tyres twin. The gears are specially heavy, and throughout the chassis there is ample evidence of a complete understanding of the needs of the commercial vehicle.

So far as prices go, these again cannot be announced, but so soon as the directors are in. & position to accept definite orders to approitimate delivery dates, prices will be published.

The engine illustrated will be observed to be equipped with a lighting dynamo. The engine in question was used in a vehicle, fitted up with an ambulance body, and had electric light, which accounts for 'the presence of a lighting dynamo in such unusual surroundings.
