Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

could up the stakes in the competitive high-cube market by offering a sliding side door on its newly introduced Kangoo. Lennart Strom, spokesman for Renault in France, says the company wants to introduce two sliding doors for the passenger variant on the Continent which would pave the way for a nearside sliding door in this country.

The French version comes with a right-hand side sliding door but it is not available in the UK for safety reasons—it would mean stepping out in the road to access it.

The Kangoo's direct competitor, the jointly developed Citroen Berlingo/Peugeot Partner, has no side door and there are no plans to introduce one. Brian Roskell, CV sales manager at Citroen, doubts if there is a strong demand for it. "We haven't had anybody in the UK saying if only you had a side door we would be interested." However, if Renault introduced one as a no-cost option it would certainly make loading heavier items easier and give the Kangoo extra appeal.
