Good signs • Peter Dawson, chairman of the Milton Keynes-based rental firm and truck dealer Dawsongroup, said at its AGM last week that short-term rental has performed ahead of expectations this year. But firm orders in truck sales, contract hire and other forms of asset finance were static, despite increased enquiries, he said. The company made a £1.31m pre-tax profit in the year to 31 December.
