• Northern Counties Paladin 48-seater single-decker body had its first public airing on a Dennis Lance chassis last week, at Dennis's bi-annual ride-anddrive day.
The Paladin is based on the standard 5.85m-wheelbase Lance chassis with a 157kW (211hp) Cummins 6CT 8.3-litre diesel, ZF 4HP500 automatic transmission with integral retarder and 5.29:1 Eaton 11.28 rear axle. An optional kneeling device is available to go with the standard full air suspension.
The 11.5m demonstrator, built to comply with DiPTAC standards, has the options of sensitive-edge doors and illuminated interior step edges,
