Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The regulations which will apply to passenger vehicle drivers from tomorrow, ncluding those not modified, are as follows: 9 Driving time must not exceed 10 hours in any working day. 9 A break for rest and refreshment of not less than 30 minutes must be taken after t maximum of 5+ hours driving. Alternatively, drivers may drive for a 'continuous" period of up to 8+ hours if that period includes intervals of ton-driving time amounting to at least 45 minutes (in not more than 7+ hours tctual driving).

0 Provided that a break of at least 30 minutes is taken after a continuous period of 4 hours driving, as defined above, the working day can be extended to the full 16 tours spreadover, including not more than a further 2+ hours driving time.

"Working day" usually means the time between starting work (le clocking-on or igning-in, and clocking-oft). A working day includes rest periods and periods off-duty, but : does not end until a rest period of not less than 10 hours (or Sihours as the case may be) begun.
