Mr. Henry Riches, Northern Scotland Licensing Authority, issued a warning when he granted an applicaVon by Dundee Corporation for an A licence for four vehicles for parcels transport.
" The operators have agreed to certain rates to he charged for the carriage of parcels within the city of Dundee," he said. "As Licensing Authority, I hope this agreement will be strictly adhered to. If it be not observed, any of the interests can bring a complaint to the notice of the authorities, and it will be inquired into," Mr. T. Ormiston Leaves £35,600..

Pirelli Facilities in Newcastle.
Pirelli, Ltd., Burton-on-Trent, advises us that improved facilities for the distribution of its tyres in the Newcastle-on-Tyne area are now available at 44, Leazes Lane, in the city. A good stock of giant pneumatics is held.
Glasgow Needs New Manager.
Glasgow Corporation is to seek a new transport manager at a salary of 21,500 a year, rising to 22,000. Mr. James N. Wilson, present general manager of the transport department, is to retire in November. He has been in the service of the department since it was instituted about 47 years ago.
New Approach to Aberdeen.
The 400-year-old Bridge of Dee, now in a weak condition, is to be relieved of much of the heavy traffic entering Aberdeen, by the building of a new approach to the city from the south. As a first step, it is proposed to build a new road and to widen Whinhill 'Road, on the north side, at" a cost of over 219.000.

Leyland Fire-engines Shipped Abroad.
On Friday last, two more fire-engines were shipped from Liverpool by Ley-land Motors, Ltd., one—a light type— being destined for the Sudan Government, and the other for the Krugcrsdorp Municipality, South Africa. Both machines are equipped with 500-700 g.p.m pumps and 35-ft. duralumin extension ladders. The fire-engine for the South African municipality incorporates a 115 bh.p. power unit and amongSt its extensive equipment it carries three -additional scaling ladders.
