Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MI For the second time Selby magistrates have adjourned the hearing of tachograph and hours charges against North Yorkshire basedhaulier David Hampshire and a number of his drivers (CM 713 February).

Driver George Harris of Normanton pleaded guilty to five offences of making false entries in tachograph charts and one of taking insufficient daily rest.

Driver Ian Worsfold of Pontefract pleaded guilty to three offences of making false entries.

Driver Robby Krygsman of Camblesforth, near Selby, pleaded guilty to one offence of making a false entry and one of driving for 41/2 hours without the required break.

No pleas were entered by driver Paul Barnett of Snaith, Goole who is accused of three offences of driving for 41/2 hours without taking the required break.

Hampshire of Weeland Road, Beal, near Goole pleaded not guilty to seven offences of permitting drivers to make false entries, and two of permitting them to exceed 41/2 hours driving without the required break.

Asking the magistrates to deal with the drivers, Stewart Layle, prosecuting, said Harris falsified charts by using a chart in a different name, continuing the next day in his own name, thus enabling him to cover up his total driving.

Worsfold had falsified charts by winding the clock of the tachograph back. Krygsman had removed charts from the tachograph.
