RATHCLYDE PTE has been d to give more details of the mber of passengers using ser:es it wants to cut back.
rhe Scottish Traffic Commisiners said this last week when adjourned the PTE's appli:ion for off-peak and Sunday iuctions on 32 services until iril 8 and 9 when revisions to other 47 Sunday and 19 night rvices come up for consideron.
There was much opposition to ?. revisions which are designed save the PTE £1 m, including ,jections from the City of Glas,w District Council and eight mm unity councils.
The PTE maintained that proised withdrawals and reducins in frequencies had been rced on them by Strathclyde gional Council because of its ity to break even.
The District Council said the oposals would cause difficulty r people living in outlying uncil estates who would be t off at certain times during e day. One area alone, with a gh percentage of elderly iople, would lose 70 per cent of . Sunday services.
