A NEW DESIGN of exhaust valve has been developed for the Gardner LXB and LXC engines, incorporating a chrome flashed stem to reduce wear and a higher specification material to give better performance under high temperature.
The new valve is identified by the use of collets for retaining the spring collar as opposed to the screw collar of the existing valves.
Operators of vehicles using LXB and LXC engines are advised to fit the latest components when carrying out a routine decoke.
As part of the rationalisatior programme, the new exhaus1 valves will replace the existinc valves for all applications.
