DRIVER from Forest Gate, East London, has been sentenced to ro six-month prison terms, suspended for two years, and banned im driving for a further 18 months and fined a total of £300.

A prison sentence would not appropriate in this case, said r Homer's solicitor, and he eaded for a suspended sennce. The court also heard that Mr Horner originally lost his licence for a drinking and driving offence in May, 1980, and was fined for driving without due care and attention and with defective brakes in June, 1979.
After considering his previous convictions and the social report, the magistrates fined Horner £50 for driving without a licence; £50 for failing to give his name and address when required; £30 for failing to keep a record book; and f:60 for driving without insurance.
His licence was also endorsed, he was disqualified for six months with another three months disqualification on the totting up procedure. For driving while disqualified, a six months prison sentence was imposed suspended for two years, as well as an endorsement and six months and three months disqualification on the totting up procedure.
For the offences at Parkeston, remitted to Bexley from Harwich, Horner was sentenced to a six-month prison sentence for driving while disqualified, suspended for two years, as well as an endorsement, six months, and three months disqualification on the totting up procedure.
For driving without insurance, a £60 fine was imposed and an endorsement being imposed as well as six months disqualification and three months disqualification on the totting up procedure.
The disqualifications will mean that Horner will be off the road for a further 18 months. The fines totalled £250, plus £50 costs.
