Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Quality-Quickly. • The YORK VB series is one van body that doesn't come as a kit. It comes as a complete integral box which drops onto the chassis. That's how fitting is so fast In these days of high interest rates, people with money tied up in new chassis really appreciate the savings in installation time that come from York building the body while you are waiting for the chassis.

VB bodies are built on new assembly lines at York's Northallerton Container and Trailer Van plant. They know quite a lot about building boxes up there.

The VB specification owes a great deal to York's famous FREIGHTMASTEFi Europe's biggest selling trailer van. Matter of fact, VB van bodies are built just like Freightmaster. You get the same one-piece roof, steel base frame, steel bottom rails, tough extruded aluminium front corner posts, steel rear door frame, laminated hardwood floor and sidewall kick strip.

Such a specification is unrivalled for quality and strength in a vehicle van body.

The VB series body is so strong that it will most likely outlast the chassis to which it is fitted. When it does, you will easily be able to transfer it to a new chassis. So even if it were to cost a lot more than other van bodies, judged over its life, it would beat all others on price. But the fact is, it costs no more to buy in the first place.

Body maintenance and repair costs with a York VB unit will be so much lower because the extra strength built into the VB body prevents damage at vulnerable points. For example, the radiused extruded aluminium front corner posts ward off blows from branches. The steel bottom rail incorporates a rubbing strip which protects side walls from scrapes in loading bays. The VB body is built from standard panels and sections many interchangeable with the Freightmaster These standard parts are available from your local York branch. There is no harder work for a body than local delivery The VB unit is built precisely for this most arduous work. Better load protection.

The extra strength of the VB body provides greater load protection from damage and from the weather The Freightmaster rear door frame prevents the body from "Iozenging" so the body seams sit tight and the door seals (with optional hinged doors) won't open up.

More cube.

The VB body is easier to load. The front corners are square inside and on units fitted with rear doors the raised header permits roof-high loading because the height through the optional doors is the same as inside van height. Width through the door frame is the same as inside width too (units fitted with standard roller shutters have reduced ap erture dimensions).

Certainly the most competitive range of van bodies in the business.

You will find it hard to believe that a body with such a specification and such great reserves of inbuilt strength, actually comes at a lower price than many other bodybuilders offerings.

But it does. The reason is, that on a York your money is put into materials and not into surplus man hours.

Yes-so efficient is the production line at Northallerton that York bodies are built far more quickly than at any Coachworks. So although the material costs on a York body is far higher, the labour hours in the job are far less -thanks to the high degree of mechanisation at the Northallerton plant.

On your doorstep.

If you worry about going all the way to Northallerton to have your body fitted relax. You simply deliver the chassis to the nearest convenient York branch and we take care of the movement from there (all into the price). When it's ready, you pick it up from the York branch of your choice. That way it's just like dealing with the body builder round the corner -except that with York, the work is done at the most modern van plant in Europe.
