Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A 10-seater Body Fitted on a Well-known Touring Car Chassis.

THE ACCOMPANYING illustrations depict 10-seater coach body mounted on a 16-20 h.p, Sunbeam chassis by Tysoe's Coventry Transport, Ltd.,

Coventry. This coach, although only completed recently, has already made several long trips, and its refined appearance, due in a large measure to its yellow body, black hood and side curtains, seems to appeal to quite a different class of person from those who patronize the larger type of motor coach. The interior, which is illuminated by electric light, has three tiers of Seats,, the rearmost being supplemented by two oocasional side seats, which are removed to aecommodate luggage on long-distance journeys. Access to the rear seats is obtained by removing the centre back-boardof the middle tier. The side curtains, when not required, are stored in a compartment under the squab of the front scat, but, so far, passengers have preferred to'travel with hood and side curtains erected. The whole vehicle weighs under O cwt., and being shod with pneumatic tyres comes into the same category as the motorcar.

The chassis is fitted with a fear-speed gearbox, the highest ratio being about 5 to 1. The coach is capable of quite a. respectable average speed, and on a recent long run -the petrol consumption , worked out at 16 miles to the gallon, Which speaks well for the efficiency of the engine and the Claude] carburetter with which it is equipped. The owner has added a dynamo, which he supports on brackets and locates over the magneto on the off side of the engine, the fitting being driven by the same belt which operates the fan.

Messrs. Tysoe's are already booking engagements for the coming season, and they have a fleet of light coaches, similar to the one illustrated; in course of preparation. Several journeys from the Midlands to the coast have been scheduled, and in one case the light coach has been booked for a week.

As the small motor coach comes moreand more into favour, it is only to he expected that Chassis manufacturers and bodybuilders will endeavour to produce a typo of machine which more closely resembles the private car. By so doing they will popularize motor (*.idling amongst a seotion of the public who have held aloof from this form of travel.
