Cemex UK Cement Logistics has added 10 new Volvo FM 12 440 6x2 tractor units to its 120-strong bulk powder fleet. The fleet covers around 1.5 million km per month and the decision to buy Volvo was dependent on the vehicle’s whole-life costings, maintenance, AdBlue usage and miles per gallon. All units are fitted with Gardner Denver XK12 blower units, a compressor required for discharging the cement, and safety equipment aimed at cyclists.
