• Mersey Waste has added 10 Foden Alpha 6x4 tractors to its fleet for waste disposal and landfill operations. Specified with day cabs, air suspension and Caterpillar C12 430hp engines, they will be working at 44 tonnes, pulling 13.6m walking-floor trailers.
To suit their tough working environment the Alphas feature protection for their sumps, fuel tanks and propshafts. All 10 vehicles have been sourced through a five-year contracthire deal, with an R&M contract including site damage.
