French tyre maker Michelin has been fined nearly 20 million auras 12m) by the European Commission.
This follows an EU Competition Commission investigation into ichelin's marketing strategy for replacement and retreaded )avy vehicle tyres in its home market The judgement says it 'bused its dominant position" by offering incentives that effecvely restricted other makers access to the French market during lost of the nineties.
Michelin says It ceased these practices in 1997.
