Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Police are anxious to contact the driver of an artic who may have witnessed a fatal road accident on the Al2 in Essex on 14 June.

The incident occurred at 01.30hrs on the London-bound section of the Al2 at Feering, near Colchester, when a GPO Roadrunner boxvan struck and killed a pedestrian.

Essex Police believe the Roadrunner was being followed by a white tractive unit with either "BRS" or a name starting with "M" on the door. it was pulling what is thought to be a livestock trailer with individual, round tail lights and a side marker light on the offside with a broken lens.

According to the police, the Roadrunner had only just overtaken the artic whose driver "is obviously a witness, although he may not realise it". Anyone with any information should contact PC Spooner at Essex Police on (0206) 762512. • Renault has slashed the price of the end-of-line Renault 6x 2 twin-steer tractor, the G290.22TD, by about 40%.

The remaining 50 vehicles are being offered at 21 dealers across the country at £29,950, "to inject a little spice into the sale of the last onets", says sales director Tony Clinkard.

The G290, replaced by the G330.22TD, is powered by a 217kW (291hp) charge-cooled engine, and has a 3.8m wheelbase and sliding fifth wheel.

The initiative for the price reduction came from the dealers, who want to move the old stock following the launch of the new range, says Clinkard.
