in the Dartford Tunnel, it's Gilbert Bataille driving the 13.9km length of the Frejus Alpine Tunnel stunt on two wheels. Both Bataille and his Iveco tractor were specially tuned-up for the 25-minute passage. The stunt was part of the tunnel's anniversary celebrations. Bataille followed a course of "ozonetherapy, positive mental dynamism, natural vitamins and phytotherapy". Well he would, wouldn't he! The truck underwent more sensible treatment including cabin reinforcements and heavy duty tyres. Who says all the eccentrics are English.
