Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Trailmaster Trailers of Kettering, Northants, is the latest casualty of the downturn in the trailer market. It went into receivership last week, following in the footsteps of Carrymaster and Oldbury Trailers which collapsed earlier this year.

Receiver Mark Patios, of Cork Gully, is now handling the affairs of Trailmaster Trailers along with five other companies in the group — Crane Holdings, Crane Manufacturing, Crane Engineering, Dickemian Engineering and Paratow. The only survivor of the group is a Bristol-based trailer company Grey Rook.

The receiver says the group's deficits stand at nearly .21.25m, and it is preparing to dispose of its assets. The 50 employees have already been made redundant.

Former sales director at Trailmaster Trailers, Cohn Ess, now with trailer manufacturer Maxiload, has put a bid in for the Trailmaster name and the manufacturing rights for its low-loader and dockside trailers.
