Girling range of brake parts for all sizes and types of commercial vehicle, known as the G560, is now available. It includes details of brake components for virtually all major models of truck, bus and trailers on British roads.
According to Lucas Girling, the G560 is a genuine "part work" not just because it deals with brake parts, but also because it is made up from 23 separately bound sections.
Each section deals with the model range of a particular vehicle manufacturer, using a uniform layout which gives clear information on both model and components.
The G560 catalogue has a companion volume — the G580 — which provides illustrated breakdowns of each brake assembly referred to in G560. Also supporting the illustrations in the G580, is a full parts list which clearly identifies individual components within each braking assembly.
A subscription of 220 purchases both catalogues plus registration with the Lucas Girling updating service which will keep both catalogues regularly supplied with the latest information.
The two catalogues will eventually be joined by a further volume, the G570 offhighway vehicle brake parts catalogue, of which details will be announced later.
