• Tate and Lyle Distribution Services has made Ken Clarke depot manager of its new Kingswinford branch in the West Midlands.
The depot was opened by TLDS's Contracts Division to service a large warehousing and distribution contract for H J Heinz.
Clark started his career with TLDS as a warehouse cleaner in 1979 at the division's Rugby depot. Shortly afterwards he was promoted to warehouseman and later became a driver. Then, in rapid succession, he rose to traffic manager, warehouse manager, and finally operations manager of the Rugby depot.
He then spent 12 months outside the company before rejoining as depot manager at Kingswinford.
