SIX high-speed gasmen from Norwich have defected to the enemy and entered for the Lucas Electrathon speed trial for battery-driven vehicles . at Donington Park on September 13. Their entry will be one of 215 from Britain, America and the Continent.
The vehicle that travels furthest in 90 minutes over a winding 1000-metre course on two ordinary Lucas 0A9 car batteries will be the winner of the Whispering Grand Prix ant its entrant will pocket £1000.
The event is intended to pro vide thought-provoking fun ant is a magnet for nuts of all natio nalities.
