R. Bailey has been re-elected chairman of the council of the Public Road Transport Association for a second year; F. J. Lloyd and J. Niblock, the two vice-chairmen, have also been re-elected. Mr Bailey is director and general manager of Lancashire United Transport. He represents independent operators on the Conference of Omnibus Companies and the National Council for the Omnibus Industry. Mr Lloyd is director-general of the West Midlands PTE; Mr Niblock is National Bus Company group executive — marketing and operational research. Mr Niblock is also chairman of the Road Operators' Safety Council and is one of the NBC representatives on the Conference of Omnibus Companies and the National Council for the Omnibus Industry.
