HE do-it-yourself home emovals scheme started in _ondon by Hertz is now to be ixtended to cover the whole ;ountry.
The scheme, launched in \pill at the company's 3ichmond, Surrey, van and ruck rental depot, provides a /an, up to 3 tons capacity, mcking cases, tie ropes, tape and hand trolley (CM April 26).
Charges for the service, collecting the van after 5 pm on Friday and returning it before 9 am on Monday morning, range from £14.49 to £26.99 depending on type of van.
The scheme is now in operation from Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle. In London, in addition to Richmond, there are now centres at Euston and Elephant and Castle.
