• Operators at the South Wales maintenance advisory committee open forum last week were some of the first to see the forms which will be used for booking annual goods vehicle test appointments.
The information required for the first test (when a vehicle will be plated) is quite formidable and some of it will be hard to come by, particularly for older models.
There are five question sections on Part I of form VTG 2 (application for test) and 14 on Part II (application for first test) and with the various subdivisions, the total of individual entries to be made is over 50.
With the amount of work that will be entailed in completing forms, operators would be well advised to obtain supplies well before application for first tests is planned.
