MR. E. B. JAMES, at present purchasing manager of Fina Petroleum Products. Ltd., is to join the B.E.T.. Federation, Ltd., on September 1 with a view to his appointment as chief purchasing officer early next year, following upon the retirement of MR. K. C. WHEATLEY.
'ALE/. H. C. DAY, vice-chairman of Chesterfield Transport Committee, has been elected chairman of the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Area of the Municipal Passenger Transport Association in succession to MR. H. Muscam-r, general manager of Huddersfield Transport Department.
MR. B. W. CLARK has been appointed managing director of the S.M.T. Sales and Service Co., Ltd., in succession to the late MR. CLARE CAMBAGE. He joined the S.M.T. company in 1943 and later became general manager. He was elected to the board and was appointed assistant managing director last January. He has also been elected to the board of Shaw and Kilburn, Ltd., who are associates of S.M.T.
MR. ROLAND E. DANGERPIF,LD, chairman and managing director of Temple Press Ltd., has announced the appointment of MR. PAUL K. JENNENS, MR. STANLEY R, BROWN and Mr. GEORGE A. LASKEY as additional directors. Mr. lennens will continue to control the advertising side of Temple Press journals. Mr. Brown has been works manager for the past five years and became responsible for the printing department on the retirement Of MR. C. F. COOK at the end of last year. Mr. T.askey becomes director and general manager (publishing). He has had a wide and varied experience.
