LAWRENCE DAVID says it is the irst trailer builder to be certiied to the highest standard for a pillarless curtainsider trailer in accordance to European Union guidelines.
In order to meet the standards, the curtainsider had to undergo stringent stability tests, as well as load resistance tests to front, rear and side walls, conducted by the German TÜV authority.
The trailer uses standard loadbearing curtains with enhanced webbing, rollers and buckles, and had its load restraining systems StrapSafe and the Scrimcloth netting system approved.
Sales director Andy Dodge says a lot of customers are now asking for the XL European Standard approval because they want to avoid pillars used in curtainsiders.
