Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Ensuring a vehicle-mounted crane does not exceed its safety limit is made easier with LoadGuard 200, says Morganite Electronic Instruments.

The unit measures the pressure in the boom hoist cylinder and displays this as a percentage of the safe working load.

It can be fitted on any crane and gives a visual and audible alarm as the overload point is approached and exceeded. Two sets of trip points, normal and "on tyres" for use without stabilisers, can be set during calibration.

With two displays, one for the cab and the other next to the controls, the I,oadguard 200 costs around £800 (ex-VAT) and can be fitted in a day.
