• At least 30 additional tanker drivers will be taken on at Hanson Transport's Huddersfield and Redear, Cleveland depots for the company's new 110m contract with ICI. About 10 other staff will also be taken on, says the Huddersfield-based company.
The three-year deal is for the transport of bulk chemicals for ICI Polyurethanes based in Belgium.
The company will handle all UK road movements of raw materials and finished product: the firm claims the contract represents one of road transport's largest non-petrochemical flows in Europe.
