Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

a briefcase in the cab, says Joan Riggall after thieves took Riggall's Removals' only vehicle—a Bedford TK 860 Luton furniture van.

The carnation red Bedford disappeared from Chesham lorry park on the evening of 5 July as the Riggalls were having a meal in a cafe. When they returned all they found was a pile of glass.

The vehicle is registered KFW 849V and has the chassis number EJM3BCOJW103652. Signwritten in cream on the sides and Front is "Riggall's Removals, Alford, Lincolnshire 0507 462336 Est 1955". It has a roller shutter and tailboard and has just had a respray.

The company a full order book and is having to hire vehicles until a replacement is found.

Suspicious circumstances surround the disappearance of JP SuIley's ERF E14 heavy-haulage low loader on 14 July. A man was seen watching the yard at Snodland, Kent for two hours on the afternoon of the theft and evidence at the site suggests that the theft was carefully planned. The thieves cut their way into the secure compound and laid railway sleepers to get the truck out over the fence, setting off an alarm as they did so. Within minutes owners Jeane and Paul Sulley were alerted and searched the roads around the yard but without success.

The red and white ERF, registered F863 GKR, has chassis number 63084 and engine number NTE36523209561. The double-drive unit has been plated to carry 80 tonnes and looks new as it has been repaired following an accident last September. It contained a CB radio, fixed telephone, radio-cassette and double bunk. JP Sulley's name was painted on the front, back and sides in white.

"They've got to put it back as an ordinary lorry," says Sulley, who believes the stack and plating are too distinctive for anyone to risk using it as it is.
