Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Resin floors, says Resdev, are starting to be used in the motor trade. Employing either epoxy or polyurethane resins and a variety of aggregates, they provide tough surfaces, are resistant to mechanical abuse and almost all chemicals.

Two firms which have recently installed resin floors and report excellent results are Dingle Garages of Llandudno Junction, and Mertrux in its

service area and parts store, totalling some 1,200 m2. At Mertnix the thickness of tiles was a disadvantage owing to height restrictions. These premises were previously a kitchen showroom and the first requirement was to remove the old floor and prepare the con crete substrate using a mechanical shot-blaster. This saved still more height, compared with the alternative of working on top of the existing floor.
