• The Lockheed Steering Division of Automotive Products has relaunched its range of manual and power steering racks. They are now boxed for easier storage and are covered by a full 12 months unlimited mileage warranty.

Relaunched steering racks from Automotive Products. • Using EOGB gas burners fitted to its Eurotecno (UK) spray booths/ovens, the new Northern Division of Robin Hood Vehicle Builders will be able completely to paint finish four small public service vehicles each normal working day.
The application of heat to speed the ICI Turbo paint drying process, from 16 hours in air to 30 minutes per coat, enables the company to speed up its vehicle production and provide a rapid tumrotmd for vehicle refinishing.
Each of the spray booth/ ovens installed at the Rotherham factory is equipped with two Electro Oil and Gas Burners' 25.2N gas-fired units working in on-off mode providing heat at the rate of 69 to 320kW. The rapid warm-up to 60°C of the 72m3/h being heated reduces production time and enables several coats of paint to be applied quickly.
