• Transport Development Group has bought a majority stake in French chemical and petrol tanker haulier Innocenti. The company is based in Avignon and has four other depots. It runs 116 tractive units and 184 tank trailers.
Sege Innocenti will continue as chief executive with a 20% holding in the company. The acquisition brings TDG's European tanker fleet to 1,250. Innocenti has assets worth £3.5 million.
TDG plans to extend cooperation between its French tanker companies and other subsidiaries in Holland and the UK. It is also planning to buy into the German, Spanish and Portuguese markets.
