Plaxton Coach and Bus delrered 400 coach and bus proucts and achieved a 94% onime delivery rate during the trst six months of 1988, says a 'laxton report.

Plaxton marketing managing Erector Sandy Glennie says: Our company has been unforunately associated with late lefivery in the past. Our loyal ustomers and dealers have wen resigned to a certain mount of disappointment as ve have often fallen down on lelivery promises.

"With the new spirit of coiperation that has been deeloped in the plant, the iewly-introduced material and woduction planning systems ind our new production man agement team, we have achieved a remarkable success rate on deliveries," he says.

Plaxton has confirmed that its share of the luxury coach market was over 50%, believed to be 54% during the period from January to May. 0 Peter Sheffield Coaches, acquired by Grimsby Cleethorpes Transport, recently took delivery of a Leyland Tiger, bodied with a Plaxton Paramount 3500.

The four-star specification includes double-glazing, sunken toilet and washroom and refrigerator. The coach is the first of three ordered by Grimsby Cleethorpes which will be used for Continental and UK touring work.
