THE TANKMASTERS division of container and specialist hauliers P&O Roadways has acquired Unilever's containerised tank powder business.
It will be integrated with Tankmasters' existing domestic and UK-Continent containerised bulk liquid and bulk powder operations.
The operation was formerly traded by Unispeed Intermodal, which continues with its Flexitank services.
The acquisition includes a fleet of 48 x 20ft and 30ft ISO tank containers for powder traffic, 23 bulk powder trailers and 10 bulk liquid ISO tanks. Three former members of Unilever's operations staff have joined Tankmasters and will be based in Southampton and Hull.
