DAF TRUCKS opened its Australian assembly operation earlier this month.
Queensland Premier Sir John Bjelke-Peterson opened the Western Star assembly plant at Brisbane on July 6 (ni5CM, May 26). The range of 6 x 4 rigid and articulated vehicles being assembled there incorporates Australiansourced axle and suspension parts.
