MICHAEL LEWIS, a director of the Hawker Siddeley Group and chairman of several of its subsidiaries, died on July 13 after a short illness.
Mr Lewis, who was 63, served the group for 37 years. Latterly he was chairman of R. A. Lister, Petters, L. Gardner and Sons, Hawker Siddeley Marine in the diesels sector of the group's business. Additionally, he was responsible for a number of other operating subsidiaries and was chairman of the group's pensions board,
