IN ANTICIPATION of the restructuring of Eastern Counties Omnib u s Company into three separate companies, National Bus Company has announced several new appointments,

Eastern Counties, which from September 9 will retain ECOC's Norfolk and Suffolk bus operations, will have Steve Dawson and Ken Poison as traffic manager and fleet engineer respectively. Mr Dawson is currently commercial manager with Provincial Bus Company at Fareham, Hampshire. Mr Poison has been chief engineer for the existing Eastern Counties company since 1975.

Alan Barrett will join Cambus, covering Cambridgeshire bus operations, as traffic manager. At present he is manager of the Salisbury depot of Wilts and Dorset bus company. Eric Jackson, operating manager (west) for the present Eastern Counties company, will become Cambus's fleet engineer.

Ambassador Travel, which takes Eastern Counties' coach operations after September 9, will be joined by Terry Park as fleet engineer. He is currently an assistant engineer with Hants and Dorset bus company.

Ben Colson joins United Counties as traffic manager, following the recent appointment of Peter Brundle as manager of Eastern Counties. Mr Colson who has previously worked for Eastern, leaves his post as traffic manager of Southern National.
