Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AHEAVY-DUTY pneumatic tyre for tip dumping and similar operations claimed to be at least five times as resistant to punctures as a conventional pneumatic tyre, has been developed by Dunlop.

Known as the Dunlop EV92, this new tyre is 12-ply tubeless, manufactured in 1400-24 size to fit standard rims and wheels and replacing 1300-24, or 1500-24 tyres.

, Dunlop says that during an extensive test programme "the tyre proved to be not only exceptionally resistant to punctures and damage, but considerably reduced maintenance downtime".

Additional advantages claimed over solid tyres are reduction of vibration (improving driver comfort and reducing vehicle wear), improved traction with the deep tread pattern and suitability for road work. No special fitting is required and it can be remoulded.

Made by: Dunlop Rubber Co. Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham.
