THREE PAPERS at Ro-Ro '84 the ferry conference and exhibi tion in Nice, on May 9-11 will deal with the problem of properly securing trailers to the ship.
P. Anderson from the Swedish Maritime Research Centre will propose the adoption of a standard seagoing trailer.
Delegates to the exhibition will see the latest technologies, port developments and transport services.
Two sessions at the conference will deal with ro-ro port de velopment and another with ro ro's role in developing countries. Speakers are expected from most European countries, America, Ethiopia and South Africa.
Special attention will be paid to Mediterranean ferries, and a visit to Marseilles-Fos is laid on.
