uOLLOWING a meeting of RHA and
TRTA members called by the RHA North Lanes sub areas, an ambitious plan to improve maintenance standards of goods vehicles in the North West is to start.
The meeting laid the groundwork for a pilot scheme, to be operated in conjunction with the Motor Agents Association, for the regular examination of goods vehicles. A sub-committee of the three associations was formed to devise a formula and scale of prices for the inspection of vehicles.
Sales Record for Eaton: The consolidated sales volume of Eaton Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (USA) in 1965 exceeded £250m.—a record and an increase of some 15 per cent over the total for the previous year. Sales in 1961 amounted to about L874-m.
