Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANEWPORT (YORKS) haulier, Mr. Glen Holt, plans to open up a section of the old Market Weighton Canal, unused since 1959, as an answer to the "chaotic" situation at Hull Docks where vehicle delays of a day or more can occur.

Mr. Holt intends to load cargo from ships at Hull into lighters and then sail them up the Humber to Broonfleet Lock, thence three miles along the canal to his warehouse premises.

A new wharf is projected alongside the canal, and arrangements to hire two 60 ft. lighters, each carrying 70 tons, have been made. Mr. Holt hopes to run three trips a week from Hull, the main cargoes being timber, plywood and, perhaps. fertilizer.

Southampton Road Scheme: Proposals for a new route for heavy traffic from the northern approaches of Southampton to the docks and lower town area have been taken a stage further by a £540,100 scheme to provide a new road linking The Avenue (A33) with the Six Dials gyratory system and to establish a new gyratory system at Asylum Green. This is the second stage of a plan to relieve the present congested route through the main shopping area of the town.

Refrigerated Vehicles: In the article dealing with refrigerated vehicles published on January 14, Bonallack Refrigerated Vehicles Ltd. was incorrectly referred to as Bonallack Mann Egerton Refrigerated Vehicles Ltd.
