All vehicles other than buses using the Swan Meadow parking ground Will pay a toll which the lessees of the station undertake to collect. One-third of the tolls will be retained, two-thirds being paid to the council.

The council's revenue from tolls is estimated to yield £200 per annum profit. The council is to make an immediate start on the station.

The Caerleon and Llanfrecfa councils are urging Newport Corporation to erect waiting rooms in their areas through which the Newport municipal buses ply. At Swansea the watch committee is being urged to expedite its proposed provision of a bus station or two stations. The Chamber of Trade is one of the agitating bodies in this respect.
