Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Souriau's new timing light.

• A new timing light, the 1050, has been added to Souriau's range of engine diagnostic equipment; it provides compactness with rpm timing and contact breaker dwell checking facilities.

The 1050 weighs 800 grammes, is 275mm long, and its £180 price includes a lightweight but robust carrying case.

At the rear of the unit is a large rubber shroud which protects and shades the fourdigit LED display together with display of switch position (for two or four-stroke engines) and function selected.

The 1050 has a dephaser memory and the digital readout of advance allows initial advance adjustment and the checking of both centrifugal and vacuum advance curves with a high-power flash.

Connections are provided by a compact clamp for the No 1 cylinder HI lead and clips for connecting up to the car battery terminals.
